Sartorius is collaborating with biopharmaceutical company Sanofi to develop an end-to-end platform for integrated and continuous downstream bioprocessing. Selected as a preferred supplier, Sartorius will contribute its engineering and manufacturing expertise to commercialize ICB platforms based on prototypes developed by Sanofi. Robert Habeck, German Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, today visited the Life Science Factory in Göttingen. Initiated by Sartorius, this hub promotes scientific progress and life science startups. Minister Habeck engaged with founders and partners of Göttingen’s startup ecosystem, including Sartorius CEO Dr. Joachim Kreuzburg. “We aim to motivate researchers to take their first steps outside of academic institutions and to support them in founding companies,” said Kreuzburg, a driving force behind the Life Science Factory. “For this purpose, we have created the necessary conditions in the Sartorius Quartier, where entrepreneurial thinking has met scientific expertise for over 125 years: The Life Science Factory provides access to essential startup and growth capital, a flexible laboratory and office infrastructure, as well as a powerful network of talents, experts, and founders.” Minister Habeck recognized the innovative strength and dedication of Göttingen's startups, pointing to the Life Science Factory as a prime example of how Germany can create innovative networks between the economy, science, and startups.
